The brief
The platform let users buy and mint its token through CoinPayments, on a React front end and Node.js back end. Before launch, the admin panel, the purchase-to-mint flow and site performance all needed checking by someone who understood both the product and the token mechanics.
What I did
- Documented more than 15 critical UI issues, including broken notification actions, password policy gaps, failed redirects and data integrity flaws in the admin panel
- Traced bottlenecks in the purchase-to-mint pipeline and recommended status bars, queueing and parallel minting
- Flagged Core Web Vitals issues, oversized images and unnecessary scripts
- Identified missing idle-session logout and inconsistent encryption handling
Frameworks and tools
- Manual functional QA
- Chrome DevTools
- Lighthouse
- Cross-device testing
Outcome
- More than 25 launch-blocking bugs caught before production
- A stable MVP shipped with a cleaner token purchase flow and tighter admin security
The client praised the attention to edge cases, the collaboration and how actionable the reports were.
